The man who inks the famous honours boards at Lord's - those small wooden panels that grant cricketing immortality to the names upon them - finally got as far as the letters S-H-A-N-E W-A yesterday.
But then he had to finish them off with a T-S-O-N after Watto's shock spell of wibbly-dibblies under the glowering skies. He'll be there forever, unlike Warnie, whose best return at Lord's was 4-57.
The board will, in all likelihood, never bear the name of RT Ponting, either, nor those of Brian Lara or Sachin Tendulkar. It's quite astonishing that the giants of modern batting have played a combined 11 times at Lord's and their highest individual score there is Lara's 54. Imrul Kayes can beat that, as can Mitchell Johnson.
Murali's name is not there either - his best is 3-158.

I've been out of the loop for a while, so can somebody explain why Australia are playing Pakistan at Lords? Don't they have their own grounds to play on?

I see the neutral Lord's honours board has yet another all time great bowling performance on it after Marcus North ripped through the Pakistan batting today.
The MCC officials will soon have to hide that board away in a dark room.
What next to go on it? A Paul Harris ten for?
The neutrals board is now so soiled they might as well burn the damn thing.
Imagine the scene in 100 years' time: 'Who was Marcus North, dad?'
'Well, son...'
I quite like it that the Lords Honours Board isn't just full of the usual suspects. It's another layer of oddity to Lords, and to the game.
do you really think that there is a curse of the Lord's Honours Boards??? I have heard a lot of things and very version of it, and I am not sure about it
